It's been a couple of days now,
Though it's felt like weeks.
I've been thinking of ways how,
I've been off beat.
Yeah, I'm stuck in the dirt now,
and it's starting to rain.
It's caked to my ankles.
It's all in my brain.
I don't know what I'm thinking
I can't see where to go.
If I stay I'll be sinking.
So I'll do what I know,
keep moving along.
Take a look in the mirror,
See what there is to change.
Start adjusting the sliders,
Try to rearrange.
'Cause there's no room for acceptance.
Not in my state of mind.
It's easier to burn and claim on insurance
Than you leave it all behind.
Making plans, crossing off the list.
Trying to make the best of this.
I push the rock...
But it falls to where it used to be.

That it always has to fall on me.
